Butter Chicken Done Quick & Easy!

Plate of Butter Chicken

This is a recipe I found online a couple years ago right here. I had my best friend Austin over at my home, and we decided that we would like to cook something instead of ordering in. We thought on it for a little bit, and Butter Chicken came into the discussion. This recipe is fast, easy, and pretty good. Will it knock your socks off with how good it is?

No, it won't. However, it's still tasty, simple, and it leaves not that many dishes, because it's a one-pan meal that you don't have to wash your pan between steps. Above is a picture taken on that night.

Ingredients

Ingredients and steps in Orange are optional.

Instructions

  1. (Optional). Take your chicken, and put it into a medium to large bowl. Add in your yogurt and spices, mix and let sit covered in the fridge for at least 12 hours for maximum flavor.
  2. Heat a skillet or large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the oil, butter and onions and cook onions until lightly golden (around 3-4 minutes). Add ginger and garlic and let cook for 30 seconds. Stirring so nothing burns.
  3. Add the chicken, tomato paste, and spices (add more to taste if you would like). Cook for 5-6 minutes or until everything is cooked through.
  4. Add the heavy cream and simmer for 8-10 mintes stirring occasionally. Serve over Basmati rice or with naan.
